Alfonso Smith Sr.

Alfonso Smith Sr., age 65, of Atlanta, GA passed away on June 5, 2023 of natural causes. Alfonso was born on December 17, 1957 to the late Lendburg and Willie Lee Smith in Decatur, GA. He spent his childhood years in Butler, GA where he attended R.L. McDougall High School. Alfonso was diligent in his career as a brick mason in his early adult years after moving back to Atlanta. Alfonso enjoyed singing, rapping, and watching wrestling and football on T.V. Alfonso married his wife Sandra Smith in 1977. Alfonso is preceded in death by his sister Linda Holloway. Alfonso's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his three loving children Tamela Ann Johnson (Shantika Johnson), Alfonso Smith Jr., and Pamela Tucker; brother Andrew Smith; and sister Patricia Crittle. Alfonso also leaves behind to cherish his memory, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alfonso will be greatly missed by everyone who shared the honor of knowing him.
