Marietta Southern Cremations & Funerals
Ann Foster of Marietta, GA departed this earth on May 14th and went to join her mother, Peggy Campbell. She leaves behind her father Jim Campbell, sister she lived with, Amy Kent, brother Bryan, nephew Jason Robinson, his wife Kristi and their daughters Grace and Selah, niece Rachel Campbell, and nephew Issiah Campbell.
In the words of her father upon her passing, "Ann had a hard life but a wonderful life considering she had a hearing problem and a learning disability." Jim and Peggy worked throughout Ann's life to help her and get her the help she needed to live a full life. At a young age Ann attended the Atlanta Speech School. As she reached young adulthood she went to the Tommy Nobis Center, where she learned work skills that she used with her natural work ethic to stay employed most of her life.
She was proud that she never missed a day of work. She had been a Publix Grocery store bagger for the last 17 years at the Baker Road store in Acworth. She loved work and people so much that she is missing from many family get together photos because she would be scheduled for work or get called in. The family all knew Ann would never turn down work. That work ethic showed itself over the years during Peachtree Roadraces and Gobble Jogs the family did together. Next to her father she had the most road races under her belt.
Ann loved people, children and babies. She rarely went anywhere without running into someone she knew. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grand-nieces and giving them presents.
Ann passed away after a Mother's Day family gathering, she came to after work. The evening was full of love, togetherness, and typical family discussions and joking little realizing it was our last time together with her.
She will be missed in so many ways.
