Barbara Lee Moore

Barbara Harris (Moore), age 91, passed peacefully into eternity on Saturday, April 23 in Villa Rica, Ga. Barbara is survived by children: Jesse R. Harris ( Denise) of Powder Springs, Ga.; Judith A. Medlock( Ralph) of Ranburne, Al.; and Ronald S. Harris ( Debbie) of Kingston, Ga. She is preceded in death by husband, Jesse Harris of Marietta, Ga.; son, Thomas A. Harris of Woodstock, Ga.; sisters JoAnn Potter of Champaign, Il. and Phyllis Farmer of Jackson, Mi. Barbara Lee was born on January 14,1931 in Champaign, Il. to parents Fletcher W. McHenry and Opal G. McHenry. Barbara was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Jesse on July 3, 1948. The couple had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Barbara never met a stranger. She was an incredibly kind woman who cared deeply for others. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and traveling. Her family and friends will remember her as a very sweet, thoughtful woman. A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4 at 1:00 pm at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, graveside service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara’s life.
