Bobby Ray Mays was born January 22, 1955 to the late Talmadge Mays Junior and Ruby L. Mays in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1971 and joined the US Army in 1972 and served for ten years. Bobby Ray Mays married the love of his life Jeanette Denise Whitaker on October 3, 1992, the same day as President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He left an impression on many of our lives. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and traveling with his wife.
After a brief illness, the final chapter in the life of Bobby Ray Mays came to an end on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at approximately 6:15 am.
Bobby leaves to mourn and cherish wonderful memories his wife of 39 years Jeanette Denise Mays, his four children; Derrick Clark (Canton, GA), Shatari Moody (Milwaukee, WI), Antwon Mays (Marietta,GA) and Nakia Junior (Milwaukee, WI). His four godchildren; Aniya Carr, Dara Perry, Shayla Underwood and Lamar Hatcher. His sister- in -love Patricia Underwood. His mother Ruby L . Mays (Milwaukee, WI) and his two brothers; Ralph Mays (Milwaukee, WI) and Jeffrey Mays (Smyrna, GA) and a host of relatives.
Immediately following the service we will gather at Golden Corral : 700 Ernest Barrett Pkwy Kennesaw, GA 30144.
