Bruce Guthrie, age 68, passed away suddenly at Kennestone Hospital on December 31, 2022 to be with His Lord and Savior.
Bruce was born in Landstuhl, Germany on November 20, 1954 to Johnnie and Alyce Guthrie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stevan.
Bruce is lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Debbie. His daughters, Susan Guthrie and Angela (Dewey) Southerland; grandchildren, Ansley, Graham, and Wyatt. Brother, John Guthrie; sisters, Trish (Ruth) Guthrie, and Gail (Leon) Ezelle, and his nieces and nephews.
The Family wishes to invite family and friends to a Celebration of Life to be held on January 20th, 2023, from 2pm to 5pm at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill in the Columbarium. 1861 Dallas Hwy Marietta, GA 30064.

Mr. Guthrie reminds me of a fellow who has a heart of gold…. and would enjoy me saying “ROLL TIDE” the first time I met him 🙂 Condolences to Debbie and the entire family from my family to yours..
As we get older and go thru life, we find ourselves focused more on getting thru this life and less on who we interact with as we go. That’s me and am sad I didn’t spend more time with Bruce.
My condolences and prayers to Debby and the family. One word comes to mind when I think back on my time with Bruce, “Dedicated”.
