Carol “Sue” HamiltonJuly 7, 1945 – December 5, 2024 Carol Sue Hamilton, affectionately known as "Sue," passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by her children. Sue is survived by her children; Barry (Tammy) Duncan and Amanda (Jim) Hemphill, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her cherished spouse, Harry Scogin; her parents, Leemon and Eva (Blalock) Chester; and four sisters and two brothers. Though her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, Sue’s legacy of love, faith, and goodwill will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those who knew her. A memorial service celebrating Sue’s life will be held on January 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Life Church, located at 2508 Macland Rd., Dallas, GA 30157. Pastor Glenn Pittman will officiate as family and friends gather to honor the enduring love and warmth she shared. May Carol Sue Hamilton rest in eternal peace, and may her memory serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
