Caroline Lucas Senter, born December 11, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee, died Saturday December 2, 2023, at her home in Atlanta, Georgia. The daughter of Ida Venning Bee Kohr, Caroline was born in Memphis, raised in Columbia, South Carolina and lived in Washington, D.C., Crownsville, Maryland, Hallandale, Hollywood, and Tallahassee, Florida with her late husband Wallace (Wally) Senter before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2009 to be near family.
Caroline was a devout Christian, artist, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son Wallace Senter, Jr. of Atlanta (Karen Bailey Senter), her daughter Maureen Flynn Stratford of Silver Spring, Md. (Richard Stratford), and is predeceased by her son Michael Stephen Flynn of Spring, Tx. She had 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a wonderful life enjoying every day as a gift, traveling the world, and sharing with others. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
A graveside remembrance will be held in Fox, Virginia at a later date to inter and remember both Caroline and her late husband, Wallace.
Another gathering in remembrance will be held at a later date (tbd) at Long Point on the Severn River in Crownsville, Maryland.
