Carolyn “Lynn” Patrick Ketner, 62, of Dunwoody, GA, died on Saturday the 5th of August 2023 with her husband and daughters at her side. She was the daughter of the late George Carey Patrick and the late Jesse Ann Bissett Patrick. Survived by her husband of 33 years, Neil; daughters, Maggie and Kasey; siblings, George, Peggy and John Patrick; brother/sister in-laws, Nicette, Bob, Debbie and Ann and a number of nieces and nephews.
Lynn was born and raised in Savannah, GA and spent her high school years in Hickory, NC. She attended East Carolina University majoring in Fashion Merchandising. Lynn was a Buyer for Ivey’s in Charlotte where she met Neil. Neil and Lynn got married in Hickory, NC on May 5th, 1990. They then moved to Atlanta where Lynn was a Buyer for Macy’s. Lynn and Neil spent the next 7 years traveling extensively to the Caribbean and various GA/FL beaches.
Lynn and Neil moved to Dunwoody, GA in 1996, where Lynn was promoted to Store Manager/Vice President of Macy’s at Perimeter Mall. After 12 years with Macy’s, Lynn retired for a more rewarding job with a lot less pay (being a mom). Later, she went to work for Bob Knight as an Office Manager/Controller at PSKB and LPI Group, where she found her work family due to Bob’s dedication and loyalty to his employees.
Lynn had an outgoing personality and a contagious laugh. She was an active member of a dinner and book club with her Dunwoody girlfriends. Lynn thrived when entertaining, especially during holidays where she could show off her extraordinary cooking and baking skills. Lynn and Neil enjoyed entertaining family and friends on the back porch, especially when the weather was cold enough to have a fire and Neil was making her a dirty martini. She loved watching the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves and has always been a fan since her parents graduated from UGA. Lynn felt most at home on St. George Island with her family, friends, and beloved dog, Charlie, where they would spend time together fishing, eating their catch and relaxing.
Lynn’s ashes will be laid to rest alongside her parents in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions, in Lynn’s memory, bemade to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Tunnel to Towers website

Lynn was my store manager at Macy’s Athens in the mid 1990s. She was larger than life and a whole lot of fun. She will never be forgotten.

I am heartbroken to hear of Lynn’s passing. We were part of a very close friend group in high school and college and she was in my wedding. I, also, remember her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her love of life. I send my deepest condolences to her family whom I know she loved. Margaret March
I am so saddened by Lynn’s passing. Although the years and life ‘s trajectories came between us, I am always grateful to have had Lynn as a friend. I was proud to be a part of her and Neil’s happy day and will always remember them with great affection. My heart goes out to Neil and their daughters.
She was a force of nature.
Lynn’s dynamic presence and terrific personality made every work day a pleasure. Her competitive and professional traits were what made her such a Great Co Worker and Friend. We will never forget her and will always miss her.
