Charles S. Foley

Charles "Charlie" Steven Foley, born December 29, 1977, passed away on November 15, 2022. He was 44 years old. He was the son of Joya Christie Foley Schmidt of Brookhaven, GA and David Foley, Sr. of Texarkana, TX. Charlie was born and raised in Princeton, WV, but spent his adult life in Boiling Springs, SC. Charlie has 1 son, Wyatt Foley, who he adored. He was previously married to Charlene Rutledge, daughter of Ann & Ronnie Rutledge of Spartanburg, SC.Charlie worked at Pet Vac Animal Hospital as a veterinarian tech for many years and he considered them as his second family. His passion was taking care of all the fur babies. His greatest achievement, as a CVCP, was using his chiropractic skills to help all animals walk pain free. He aspired to one day open his own animal chiropractic clinic. Charlie is survived by 2 brothers, David Foley, Jr. (Kathie) of Elkridge, Maryland and Jonathan Foley (Laura Waldrop) of Spartanburg, SC. He has numerous Aunts, Uncles, niece & nephews and cousins. Charlie also leaves behind his special friend, Bonnie Billings Gibbs and her daughter Ella. Charlie is preceded in death by his stepfather, William "Bill" Schmidt, his uncle Harry Christie, Ill, his maternal grandparents, Rev. Harry and Ruth Christie, Jr., his paternal grandparents, Phares and Alice Foley and Aunt Jo Ann Foley. Services will be held at a later date.
