Mrs Cheryl Elizabeth Jones Winston

Mrs. Chery Elizabeth Jones Winston was born May 30, 1950 to the late Anthony Parson Jones and Mary Elizabeth Williams She was called “Cherry” by most relatives. After Graduating from Fisk University, Mrs. Winston began her Life Long Career in Education. Mrs. Winston was a Champion of Education, Dedication, and Love.She was the devoted teacher to all of her students within the public school system as well as those at the Youth Detention Centers. Mrs. Winston’s students respected and loved her so much with some giving her gifts ranging from simple candy & card , to new pets to bring home. She was a Devoted, Caring, Loving mother. Even though, Mrs. Winston tried to shelter and protect her sons from the harms of the world, she gave them a mother’s mixture of tough love, guidance, acceptance, loyalty, humbleness, humility, relentless motivation & encouragement, and most of all; unconditional love. She loved the Lord, “ her boys”, pets, traveling, shopping, music, dancing, and her TV shows just to name a few things.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Anthony “Kid” Jones and Mary Elizabeth Jones. She is survived by two sons: Michael Anthony Williams and James Ashley Winston, one sister: M. Denise Williams, one niece: Carla Elizabeth Larkin, and a host of other relatives and friends.

I am saddened to learn of Cheryl’s passing. I remember growing up listening to her hair and makeup tips. Her loving kindness and pretty smile will always be in my heart. Rest in heaven my dear cousin. Love, Marge.
