David Newman Edwards

David Newman Edwards, age 64 of Marietta, Georgia passed away at home on Friday, July 2, 2021. He was a Georgia native and loved the south. David was born in Atlanta to parents Don and Johnnie Edwards. He graduated from McEachern High School in 1974 and began his career with Lockheed in 1979. During his tenure at Lockheed, he held many positions from Shop Steward to serving as President of the Georgia State Council before retiring in December 2014. During his life, David enjoyed many outdoor activities like archery, hunting and fishing. He had great times pursuing his passions in life. David is survived by his sisters, Donna Barwick, her children and grandchildren and Cheryl Duncan, her husband John and their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. At this time, there are no plans for a funeral or memorial service. The family will notify loved ones in the future if a gathering is scheduled. A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Author Unknown
