Mr. David Sharpe Beckett, age 81, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on March 11, 2023.He was born on September 23, 1941, in Smyrna, Georgia, and graduated from Campbell High School as a part of the class of 1959 where he was a proud member of ‘Da Boys Club of Campbell'.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Beckett; 4 daughters, Laura Smith, Pamela Messenger, Louise Burkhead, and Kimberly Hamilton; brother, Charles Beckett; 2 sisters, Barbara Chafin and Bonnie Coyle; 8 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

David was a friend from CHS and a good baseball teammate. David always smiled when we got together to talk about “the good ole days”. I remember David who could throw a baseball, straight over-armed, as far as centerfield to home plate. However, most of all David was a man with a kind heart. He had grown to love Jesus as Savior and try to live a life that was proof of his faith. We will all miss that smiling, ball face.
