David Thomas Herring, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. David was born to the late Mr. Robert Herring and Ms. Jerrie Miller in Austell, GA on October 23, 1964.
David served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, his country, and most of all, his family. David was a huge fan of the Christmas Season. His sense of humor and generous nature to everyone will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Semper Fi!
David is preceded in death by his father, Robert Herring, mother, Jerrie Miller Burger, sister, Theresa Driskell, sister-in-law, Valerie Worthey, brother, Rob Miller, brother-in-law, Dennis Handley, and grandparents, Coy Miller and Evelyn Newkirk.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Samantha (John) Hill, grandchildren; Aidyn, Clover and Daisy, siblings; Chuck and Shawn Worthy, Bill Herring, Vicky Handley, Theresa Driskell, Robert Miller and Cathy Miller, Nieces and nephews; Misty, Kristy, Marcus, Diana, Morgan, Ronny, Jerry, Stephen, Jimmy, Heather, and Coy. Many Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive to cherish David’s memory.
A funeral service will be conducted at West Cobb Church on Friday, November 17, 2023 at eleven o’clock in the morning. Interment with Marine Honors Rendered will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville, at one o’clock in the afternoon.
The family will receive friends at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill in the Columbarium on Thursday evening, November 16, 2023 from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight.
