With humble acceptance of God’s will, Deborah Elaine Brewer, 62, of Powder Springs, GA, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 30, 2021.
Debbie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 5, 1959 to Milton and Jan Gorman. She graduated from Ridgeview High School in 1977 and married Danny Brewer on November 29, 1980.
With a smile on her face, Debbie served school lunches at Cooper Middle School for 20 years. She was loved by students of all ages county wide. She enjoyed beach vacations, time spent with her grandchildren, and yearly sibling trips. Her family and friends will always remember her as high-spirited, sociable, warm, and fun-loving.
Debbie is survived by her husband Danny Brewer, her children, Stephanie (Tony) Smith, Danny (Sara) Brewer, and Ashley Kelsey, her grandchildren, Journey Kelsey, Sydney Smith, Hannah Brewer, and Oren Brewer, her mother Jan Gorman, and her siblings Marsha (Paul) Egbert, Vicki (John) Berry, and Mark (Donna) Gorman, and numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Debbie’s life will be conducted in the columbarium of Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park on Saturday, July 3rd at three o’clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Chris Westbrook officiating. The family will receive friends at the columbarium from one o’clock in the afternoon until the service hour. Interment will follow the service in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

Missing my mom already. I’m about to enjoy a slice of her favorite pizza at mellow mushroom. I wish she could have had a good carb heavy meal during her last few days. She kept dreaming of food at the end. Let’s enjoy our life, enjoy our meals, enjoy our family, enjoy the little things in her honor. She always lived life with a spark in her eye. She will live on in my memory as a tender, affectionate, fun-loving, and connected human.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Debbie has been a light to all of us. May we forever remember her love and thoughtfulness to all.
We have fondest memories of Debbie with our children growing up in Atlanta. She always welcomed us to her home and my daughter, Melody had many fun times with her and her daughter, Stephanie. She made life fun and always brought the light of Jesus to all who knew her. She went too soon for us but she is with our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ with all of the Glorious angels. Wow, Deb, sing a song for us. We will be looking for you when we are called to our eternal home.

Debbie was one of the kindest caring, sweetest person I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am glad to have had her in my life. My prayers are with her family. She has her wings and is at peace.

I met Debbie when my son and her daughter Stephanie went to Russell Elementary. We would get together and as time has it I got married and moved and we lost touch. I was in Food Depot not long ago and there was Debbie with her two grand-daughters. She still had the beautiful smile. We caught up with things and gave each other our FB info. Debbie was the sweetest, loving person through good and hard times. She always made you feel good. She did love the Lord and I will miss her and was so blessed to see her one more time. To the family you are in my prayers.
Missing here so much as she has been gone 2 years. She has 2 years in paradise with Jesus Christ and Daddy. I think of you everyday.
