Debra Ann Dunston

March 15, 1962 ~ March 23, 2024

Debra Ann Dunston was born March 15, 1962, in Folkston, GA. She was the oldest of five children born to Edna Hill. She graduated from Clinch County High School. Debra retired in 2021 to relax and enjoy life. She is preceded in death by her father Irving Gordon, her brother Ronnie Hill and her son Glenn Brown Jr. Debra departed this life in Jonesboro GA on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Her departure is gravely felt by those who knew her. Debra leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Mandy Holmes, Jonesboro GA: her mother Edna Hill of Homerville, GA: her sisters Wanda Hill, Shandra Hill of Homerville, GA: her brother Jr. Gordon of Homerville, GA. She also leaves her partner, Eric Sutherland, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. My mom was strong. She was opinionated. She was beautiful. She was my everything. She was a hard worker. She earned everything on her own and she didn’t take crap from anyone. She was the perfect definition of a Jersey girl; beautiful, spicey and opinionated. I will forever cherish her memories. You will forever be in my heart. I love you. May you rest in peace, mommy.

  9. I am Darryl Debra’s next door neighbor from the time she moved here we have always been neighbors. One summer we were looking at a row of pine trees that were beginning to sprout up dividing our two yards, I told her then that she might want to cut them downsoon. She said that it might be cool just to let them grow. To make a long story short the next season they were getting to big she was thinking. She asked me if I would cut them down for her, of course I said I would and did. After cutting them down she asked me how much I will charge her. At that time I was still drinking and asked her to get me a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka. That very next day she seen me in the backyard and told me that she had my gift. When I tell you that it was the largest bottle of Grey Goose I have ever seen. I laugh every time I think about it. She always did things big. I will miss her high pitched hello or just hearing her high pitched voice
