Delores G. Jackson

Delores Gloria Jackson peacefully passed away on February 20, 2026, at Delmar Gardens of Smyrna. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 86. She was born in South Carolina on April 22, 1939. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Clarence J. Jackson, who passed on April 19, 2011. Delores leaves to cherish her memory her children: Janervette Taylor (daughter), Michael Taylor (son, LA), Wayne Jackson (son), Tamisha Best (daughter), Fitzroy Best (son-in-law), and Denzel Jackson (son). She was a proud grandmother to Shanique Jackson, Michael C. Taylor, Sean Jackson, Alexis Taylor, Cierra Bloomfield, Jihad Jackson, Christina Durham, Daniel Best, Kenisha Best, and Kayla Best. Her great-grandchildren include Yazmin Fiddemon, Harmoni Fiddemon, Javon Taylor, Zayden Taylor, and Zhen Carter-Hooks. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, her beloved family pet Brandy, and many extended family members and friends. The family extends special thanks to Pastor Thompson and family and friends for their love and support. Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Prayers will be offered by Pastor Rohan Thompson. The Funeral Service, a Celebration of Life for Delores Gloria Jackson, will follow.
