Diana Bannerman

November 13, 1952 ~ March 28, 2024

Diana Bannerman, born November 13, 1952, in Kingstree, South Carolina, passed peacefully on March 28, 2024, after bravely battling Lupus. She is the daughter of the late Tony Shaw Sr. and Annie Bell Shaw, and one of eight beloved siblings. Diana’s educational journey led her through the halls of the Miami Dade County School System, where she was part of the Chief's Marching Band. Culminating in her graduation from Miami Carol City Senior High School. It was during her high school years that she found her lifelong partner in high school her sweetheart, the late Mr. Paul Bannerman Jr. Together, Diana and Paul built a beautiful family, blessed with five children: Paul Bannerman III, Ericka Bannerman-Williams, Andre Bannerman, Angelina Bannerman, and Alexis Bannerman-Barr. Diana dedicated many years of her life to the public service, starting with her career at Consolidated Bank of Miami, where she rose to the esteemed position of head teller. Her unwavering commitment to serving her community led her to the United States Postal Service, where she served dutifully as a letter carrier. Her dedication and leadership were recognized, and she retired in 1996 as a supervisor, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and professionalism. Diana’s commitment to education and personal growth was evident in her pursuit of higher learning. She successfully earned a degree from Miami Dade College and furthered her education by obtaining her radiology license. Her dedication to expanding her knowledge and skills exemplified her determination and passion for self-improvement. Her educational achievements stand as a testament to her perseverance and drive to excel in both her personal and professional endeavors. Beyond her professional achievements, Diana will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and a cherished friend to many. Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Diana Bannerman is survived by her beloved children: Paul Bannerman III (Shantella), Ericka Williams (Adual), Andre Bannerman, Angelina Bannerman (Adam) and Alexis Bannerman-Barr (Jamal). A brother Mr. Tony Shaw Jr., sister Ms. Mary Hall, brother Mr. Virgil Shaw, brother Mr. George Shaw.Fourteen grandchildren: Shakir Swift, Brianna Williams, Paul L. Bannerman IV, Taylor Arden Williams, Cameron J. Bannerman, Yarianna D. Barr, Talia C. Harrison, Axel L. Bannerman, Clark Bannerman, Ademar Hunter Williams, Yuriah Barr, Yarelle Barr, Mariyoon Whalum, and Yaziah Barr. Two Great Grandchildren Joshua R. Mcjunkins Jr and Nova A. Mcjunkins. A host of nieces and nephews. As they morn her passing, may they find solace in the cherished memories and enduring love she shared with each of them. Though she may have left this world too soon, Diana’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and service that will continue to inspire generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
