Doyle Marion McCracken, age 78, passed peacefully on 8/4/2021, in Kennestone Hospital Cancer Center.
Doyle is survived by his beloved wife, Bea Ann McCracken of Dallas, GA; his daughter, Shelley Hollingsworth, son-in-law, Shane Hollingsworth, and Grandson, Brody Hollingsworth all of Powder Springs, GA. Also, his sister, Roberta Wrigley; brother-in-law Craig Wrigley; and their two sons Jason and Todd Wrigley.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert McCracken and mother Bernice McCracken, both of Franklin, NC.
Doyle was born on 4/10/43 in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents Robert and Bernice McCracken. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1961. Following High School, he was a Marine Reservist and then had a 32-year career at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA where he spent several years working in Tool Design.
Doyle was a great family man and loving father. He married Bea Ann Hurst in 1965. The couple had one child together, and later one adored grandson.
Doyle was a social, active man who was always willing to help others. He enjoyed sports, especially watching his grandson play baseball and basketball. Doyle was also an avid Braves fan. His family and friends will always remember him as a very hard-working, thoughtful person.
A memorial service will be held, Monday, August 9, 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Southern Cremations and Funerals Chapel at Cheatham Hill.
The family would like to thank all of our family and friends for their love and support.

Ole, Doyle! I worked with and around him several times during his 32 years at Lockheed. Doyle could make you laugh so hard tears would flow and you’d be doubled over. he was a good worker, descant and good man. I’m very sorry for the loss of your loved one. Keep remembering your favorite times and experiences with him and the pain will lessen and the joy of your life with him will return. I pray for your family during this time of sadness and loss. I worked with Doyle for several years in Mock-up and Tool Planning. He was always good for giving hardy laughs and being an all around great guy. Rest In Peace Brother. See you on the other side 🙏
