I started at the post office in Stockbridge Eddie was the first friendly face that spoke to me. 4 months later I transferred to Peachtree City and guess who I bump into Eddie. I was surprised but more surprise how he remember my name. We had a great and fun work relationship. He always came to the station smiling and singing that’s how I named he Eddie Cane from the Five Heart beats. I’m going to miss my friend. He always said Charlesetta you better leave that Glut. alone. To Eddie children and grandchildren he spoke so highly of you all. May God be with you during this transition. I send my deepest condolences. ❤

  17. Suzanne Smith-Wigfall says:

My deepest condolences to Lavone, all the children and the rest of the Evans family. I have such wonderful memories of visiting Eddie and Lavone when my children and I first started attending WCG over 30 years ago. We would go to their home and our children would play together and have big, delicious meals. We always felt welcomed. It was obvious that Eddie deeply loved his family and was so proud of his children’s accomplishments as they grew. He was a steadfast and devoted member of our congregation at LHCF and I will remember his smile and helpfulness. He ALWAYS had a big smile and a pleasant word. And I can hear those keys of his jingling! He will be sincerely missed. May God grant the family peace and send His comforting angels and Holy Spirit to strengthen you. Remember and rejoice! He is home with his Heavenly Father and the Lord. May we look forward to seeing Eddie again at the glorious reunion and God’s eternal kingdom. And we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Blessings Suzanne Smith-Wigfall
