Elaine Josephine Williams passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024. She was born to Maude Alene Williams & Lionel Augustus Williams Sr on November 20, 1942, in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Walnut Hill High School in 1960 and went on to receive a Master’s in psychiatric social work from Howard University.
Elaine lived a creative life, dabbling in pottery, painting and making the best chocolate chip cookies. She had a huge sweet tooth and a wry wit that she would use with her close family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and particularly loved Hawaii.
Elaine had a huge heart as well. She cared deeply for the welfare of children and was known as a true advocate for adoption. Elaine was adored by her friends who always made an effort to stay in contact regardless of time or distance.
Elaine will be dearly missed by family and friends, and she leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Your patient and compassionate spirit lives on. All who have known you are blessed. You have a calming spirit and will always be remembered in love. I remember your laugh, your wisdom, your humility and grace. Rest in Peace.
A tree with strong roots that protects and provides for the needs of others planted because thats who you are. You will be remembered lovingly.
Aunt Elaine, one of the strongest women I know. To the end she retained her will until completely surrendering it to the ONE in whose hands she remains. One day I’ll see you again, no chocolate in hand but a big warm hug ❤️
I remember when I had to go work in Princeton NJ and to not be in a cold hotel restaurant by myself aunt Elaine came to get me and we went to dinner first she and I one night and then with Sylvia and Marlena. Her quiet voice was always so comforting and loving. She will be missed Love you Auntie – Kevin
I visited her in her senior home and it made me happy to help and see her. Even though she didn’t always feel well inside she always manage to have a smile. I hope to see her later in life. No matter what I will always remember aunt Elaine 💗💗💗
