Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Fred was one of my heroes, both in work and life. We worked together for over 25 years and he was a trusted advisor and a dear friend.

  2. As Charles Bukowski said, “An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way.” Fred was an artist of many talents. Fred, you will always be the Dude and you will be missed by all those whose lives you touched. Thank you for warm memories that will last a lifetime…

  3. Dear Fred, Some people we meet have a profound impact on our lives and it might take years for us to realize it. As I write this letter to you, I know you are smiling down from heaven, that sweet and mischievous smile, because you already know what I’m going to say because it’s in my heart. Over the course of our lives, if we are lucky enough, we will work with many, many people – all kinds, shapes, sizes, colors, personalities, backgrounds, you name it. Some will become distance memories, some become colleagues and connections, some become friends, and some – well some we love forever. I remember meeting you on my first day at Turner in 1987…you were very welcoming, kind, and funny. And every morning that I walked down the hall you would say good morning “Miss Trish” making me feel as though this was a place I belonged. I also remember some people wearing their flight goggles to meetings, so you just can’t make this up!! We both went through so much through the years at Turner…you watched my Zach grow up…you were always so very kind to him to as I had to bring him into the office fairly often. He loves you too…as you had an impact on his life. You were always someone I trusted to have a truthful conversation with, to tell me what I needed to hear and to just listen when it was time for that. I’m so grateful to have known you…your legacy lives on, both in your creativity with your play writing and your creativity with managing technology projects around the globe. Not sure you ever received enough credit for those, but we know how much you and the guys did to make sure everything was just perfect just in time… I wish many blessings for your family, that they will carry on and know that they are part of an amazing story and that there are so many of us who will always carry you in our hearts. May you have peace forever more. I look forward to seeing you again, my friend. Love, Miss Trish Tricia Mercaldo
