George "Rex" Jones passed peacefully away on February 17, 2024. He was born June 1, 1965. Rex was 58 years old.
Rex is lovingly remembered by his big heart and love for the outdoors.
Rex is survived by his sisters, Shannon Dixon of Woodstock, GA, Sheila Garrett of Woodland, AL; brother, Greg Jones of Dallas, GA; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Rex is predeceased by sisters, Denise Kelly of Marietta, GA, Brenda Oleary of Locust Grove; and his parents, George and Evelyn Jones.
Service will be officiated by sister-in-law, Debbie Moates.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We mourn the loss of George, a man whose kindness was only surpassed by his wisdom. His ready laughter and quick wit brought joy to every gathering. With his creative intellect, he held fascinating conversations and delighted in sharing tales of adventure. A keen collector with skilled hands for craftsmanship, his love for fishing never waned. His generosity and optimism were contagious, rendering him an irreplaceable presence in our midst. He will be deeply missed.
I’m just seeing this. , Im deeply saddened by this. Rex was always there for me when I was feeling hopeless,he would go out of his way to make sure Id have a smile on my face before Id leave. He’d make sure I ate or had money. Mad sure I always had a phone. He was always my light. It breaks my heart so much. My prayers go to his family and his daughter
