Georgia Lois Baswell

Georgia Lois (Joyce) Baswell passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on August 9, 2025, shortly after her 90th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Baswell, and her son, James D. (Jimmy) Reid, Jr. She is survived by her loving children: Marie (Donald) Howard of Temple, GA, Linda (Jim) Warren of Athens, GA, Beth (Arthur) Thompson of Danville, GA, Vicky Reid of Winder, GA, Valerie Reid of Winder, GA, and Terry Reid of Athens, GA She was a proud grandmother to Miki Kennedy, CJ Novotny, Donnie Howard, Matthew Warren, Micca Gillespie, Amy Schooler, Rose Reid, Duane Davenport, Jamey Davenport, Joel Davenport, Jessica Thompson, and John Thompson. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A service will be officiated by Reverend Micca Gillespie. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
