Gregory Norman Posey

Gregory Norman Posey of Lithia Springs, GA passed away on December 22, 2022. Greg was born in Davenport, Iowa on April 23, 1962, to Luther and Pearline Posey. While he was in Junior High School, he caught the eye of Mary Sharfenberg and their lives would be one from that point forward. As young adults now with two sons, Greg and Mary fled the cold of Iowa to the warmer climate of New Orleans, LA. where he was blessed with a third child. Greg enjoyed life to the fullest. He drove an 18-wheeler for over 20 years, he loved bowling, he was a great mechanic, he enjoyed music but especially the sounds of Motown and the Blues. Greg was known as the man who could fix anything. Greg’s greatest joy in life came through his children. He was their coach and mentor not only on the field but through life in general. His generosity did not stop at home. He treated all the kids in the neighborhood as his own. Greg was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by his mother, Pearline. He is survived by Mary, his wife and soulmate of 45 plus years. His father, Luther. His sons, Joshua (Ciara) and Justin (Chordata). Daughter, Amber (Brandon Sr.). Sister, Linda. Greg was also blessed with 12 grandchildren to carry on his legacy. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
