Harry Vincent Gentilozzi

June 2, 1957 ~ November 5, 2025

Harry Gentilozzi, age 68, passed away in his home on November 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Daphne, of 37 years, daughter Ashley Ferrara, brothers Richard Gentilozzi (Nancy), Mark Gentilozzi (Kathy), and many nieces and nephews. Harry retired in 2024 after a long career as a software developer. He was always highly praised by his co-workers and management alike. Harry was respected for his skills, his honesty, integrity, and reliability. He learned his trade in the US Marine Corp where he served honorably for a single tour of duty. Harry was born in Connecticut, but moved to Georgia after leaving the Marines and remained here for his life. Harry loved to read and never stopped learning. He taught himself at least six computer languages with a high level of competence in them all. He also taught himself graduate level Spanish, physics, and advanced mathematics. Harry had an intelligent, yet, subdued wit and somewhat self-deprecating sense of humor. He avoided the limelight and was modest about his accomplishments. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, flying his simulator, watching sports with his brothers, and he relished an occasional road trip. Harry will be greatly missed! In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Harry's honor.St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.

  1. He was so smart, very funny, loyal and loved sports as much as I did. We watched a lot of sports together over the last couple years. He’s also the bravest person I’ve known. He accepted his fate like I hope I can someday. Also enjoyed riding our motorcycles together in more than one state. Some of the best times of my life. Most importantly he loved his family, but most importantly his beautiful wife Daphne.she couldn’t possibly have taken better care of him. She was with him every day until his last breath. ❤️❤️❤️
Love you little brother. Enjoy your next journey and check in once in a while. The Giants are gonna be good one of these days. Maybe I’ll join you before they are but one of these days.
And as you can tell much more eloquent than me.

  2. I new and admired Harry for many years, starting with our collaboration at The Home Depot payments systems. His loss leaves many of us with a deep sadness.

  3. Harry was my cousin-in-law, if that’s a thing. I think we had more in common than I had in common with most other extended family members. I always felt a kinship with him whenever we talked, which unfortunately was only at family gatherings around the holidays. I wish I’d had…or made…more opportunities to get to know him better. A lovely human being who will be quietly missed.

I’m with you in spirit, Daphne.
