Irma Lynne Crane Leithleiter passed away peacefully on April 17, 2022 at the age of 83 in Cartersville Georgia.
Lynne was born in Racine Wisconsin April 4, 1939, the daughter of Herb and Irma Crane. She is survived by her four daughters, Michele Greer and husband Keith, April Leithleiter, Brenda Sharman and husband Steve, Heidi Leithleiter and husband Ed Lance. Lynne was also very proud of her ten Grandchildren. Nick and David Naylor, Annalyn Donaldson, Adon and Aurora Rackson, Stephen, Michael and Matthew Sharman, Henley and Elsa eaver.
Lynne grew up in Racine Wisconsin and is survived by her 3 sisters, Judy Benko and her husband Tom Benko, Peggy Crane and Cory Robey and many nieces and nephews.
Lynne was beautiful, and in her younger years she worked as a cocktail waitress in the Playboy club in Chicago and also worked as a Flight Attendant for TWA Airlines. Over the years she stayed involved with “Clipped Wings”, an organization for former TWA flight attendants.
Lynne was very creative and loved to sew and make crafts along with baking and decorating cookies during the holidays. She was also an avid reader and could hold her own in a game of trivial pursuit! Over the years, she was also very involved with the Unitarian Universalist Church in several different cities in which she lived. She had a love of nature, gardening, recycling and even helped start a community garden in Racine Wisconsin.
Lynne’s career was focused on Office Administration and while in Atlanta, she worked for Fran Tarkenton and his company “Knowledgeware”. She was proud of her role at his company. After retiring, Lynne moved back to Racine Wisconsin to be with her sisters and aging parents.
Her later years were spent with her sisters, friends from the Unitarian Church and a handful of friends from high school and her apartment complex. Lynne loved to collect things and read magazines and books in her apartment near Lake Michigan. Lynne also had a passion for genealogy and enjoyed learning about her family's Danish lineage. She is missed by her family and will remain in our hearts and prayers.
