On Saturday, May 11, 2024, at home in Atlanta, Georgia, Jacqueline B McCray died of natural causes. She was 60 years old.Born August 1963 to Edward and Brenda E. McQueen in Detroit, Michigan, Jacqueline was the third of four children; Rosalyn Veneta, Edward Lawrence, and the youngest Timothy Aaron.
Jacqueline graduated from Detroit Murray-Wright High School in 1981. An excellent student, talented artist, she also worked and was trained in commercial radio and television production, working as both talent, audio/technical/and production. She was recruited by the Detroit Center of Creative Studies, but declined to pursue a more spiritual path.
Raised and trained from infancy as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jacqueline was baptized as a public declaration of her dedication to Jehovah God in 1982.
April 5, 1997 Sister Jacqueline B McQueen married Brother Craig J McCray at the Lyndon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Detroit, MI. and made their home together in Cincinnati, Ohio before relocating to Greensboro, North Carolina.
Jacqueline was a avid reader, excellent cook, enjoyed traveling, music, art, movies, entertaining, shopping, and fashion.
She was instrumental in helping care for her six nieces and nephews during various parts of their life, was generous, kind, compassionate and supportive to family and friends especially in times of distress.
After being medically retired by her secular employer, despite her physical disabilities, Jacqueline enter the full time evangelizing work as a regular pioneer for several years.
Jacqueline B McQueen was preceded in death by her parents Edward McQueen and
Brenda E McQueen, her brother Timothy A. McQueen, and her dear uncle, Edward Larkins. She is survived by her husband Craig J. McCray, siblings Rosalyn V McQueen, brother Edward L McQueen and aunt Janet L Larkins; Mother-in-law Ann McCray, brother in-laws Antonio McCray and Eric Cottrell, his wife Marilyn Cottrell, and their daughter Shatan; Nieces and Nephews: Kara Simmons, her husband Jesse Simmons
Venetta McQueen, Farren Clay, Armond Clay, Everett Carter (and wife Sister Shardiney Carter), Nicholas McQueen (and his mother, Antoinette McQueen), cousins, grand nieces and nephews, close friends, loving spiritual brothers and sisters.
Jehovah does not forget our good works (HEB 6:10). They will go with us into his New World.

I am so proud of my cousin Jackie, so loving and even tempered. Most of my Memories are from our childhood growing up in Detroit. Jackie was always even tempered loving and kind. Also smart and considerate of others, and most importantly she was a devoted servant of Jehovah All the way to the end. I can’t wait to put my arms around you with tears of joy in the new system.

I will always remember Jackie for her beautiful smile her love for Jehovah. The time shared in the ministry and riding together to the meetings, and how much she loved Mickey Mouse.
I look forward to seeing her and her mom in the New World.
