Jake Edward Woodham

On Sunday, April 10th, 2022, Jake Edward Woodham, age 17, beautiful child of God, passed away in Marietta, GA. Jake is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Woodham. Jake is survived by his mother, Shoanna Woodham of Marietta, GA and Brother Brett Woodham; Grandparents, Peggy and Robert Kuhn of Austell, GA; Uncle Stephen Kuhn and his wife Nicole; Uncle, Lynn Woodham and wife Sarah of Dothan, AL and a host of loving family. Jake was born on January 16th, 2005, in Marietta, GA, to parents Jerry Woodham and Shoanna Brooks Woodham. In School, Jake was well known and adored by many. He had an innate ability influence and connected with everyone despite his unique style of communication. Jake was an amazing son, brother and grandson that brought light and love to his family, teachers and friends. He loved spending time with family. His laugh could bring a smile to anyone. For such a short and hard-fought life, he brought joy to everyone he touched. A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 14th. Visitation begins at 2pm with the Memorial Service at 3pm at Southern Cremation & Funerals, 1861 Dallas Hwy., Marietta, Ga. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jake’s life. The family has made available an online live stream of the service for those who would like to attend virtually. Details can be found on Southern Cremation & Funerals website. We sang to him every morning, “You are My Sunshine.” We will carry his memory forever in our hearts.
