James Herbert Loner

James Herbert Loner, also known as JH, was born on August 12, 1943, and went to be with his Lord at 8:19am on December 21, 2023, at the age of 80 years old. Mr. Herbert Loner, age 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away at his home on Thursday, December 21, 2023. He was the last surviving child of Mr. George and Leona Loner of Union City, Georgia. Herbert had many siblings that were waiting on him at the Pearly Gates. Having retired from Arrow Shirts, he transitioned into working with Scott and Nelma Matthews at The Cleaning Depot in Newnan, Georgia. A devoted member of Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia, he found joy in playing the guitar and singing Johnny Cash tunes. Known for his witty demeanor, he passionately shared his love for Jesus, often recounting the profound impact Jesus had on his life with enthusiasm to family and friends. He is survived by three daughters and two sons in law - Tracie Loner Collum of Sarasota, Florida, Cathy Loner Oxford and her husband Virgil of Georgia, and Vickie Loner Hessey and her husband Steve of Florida; six grandchildren - Matthew, Stephen, Crystal, Carli Hessey and her partner Chris Cruz, Steven and Madeline, and Erin Oxford and her partner Brittany Oxford; five great grandchildren - McKenzie, Hailee, Jowell, Julian, and Josephino; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family of viewing of the urn will be held on: January 8, 2023, at 12:00pm inside the Chapel at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Holly Hill - 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213. A service will be held immediately after at 1:00pm and will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend. The link can be found below. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at chapel Hill Road Baptist Church, 4391 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville, GA 30135.
