James Matthew Glover “Matt”, age 57, passed away on March 12, 2025. Matt was born on June 9, 1967, in Miami, Florida to his late parents, Larry and Pat Glover. Matt was preceded in death by his brother, Larry W. Glover, Jr. Matt leaves behind his sister, Kathy Reimann, brother-in-law, Erich Reimann, his nieces, Jacky Frisch, Jessica Frisch, and Joanna Schicker (Kyle), his nephew Jason Reimann, his best friend since childhood, Randy Christopher and his aunts and uncle, cousins, and many friends.
Matt was a carpenter by trade, he worked for Lee Goldstein Construction for many years and loved the outdoors. He was always happiest when operating anything with an engine. His sister taught him to ride a bike when he was four years old, before he could even reach the seat properly. His favorite Christmas present was a Big-Wheel he got as a child, and before his family knew it, he was building ramps to jump with the Big-Wheel. This was the precursor to his adult years where you would find him at the beach riding a watercraft or boat, or in the Florida Everglades with four wheels and swamp buggies. He loved nothing more than getting off work on Friday and spending the weekend outdoors in “the woods” with his buddies. Matt lived in Miami for most of his life. He relocated to Ellijay, Georgia in 2018, where he resided until his passing. During the last few months Matt has been cared for by his niece, Jacky, whose family will be forever grateful to her for the care and love she provided for her Uncle Matt.
The family will hold a burial service at Flagler Memorial in Miami. The date and time will be announced.
