Jerry Lynn Johnson

Jerry L Johnson, Sr. of McDonough, Ga., born in Knoxville TN to Delbert and Georgia Johnson, died peacefully on February 21, 2024, at the age of 83 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jane Johnson, after 48 years of marriage in 2012; Daughter, Melissa Jane Ashment in 2017. Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry L. Johnson Jr, (Jennifer); son Nelson Johnson (Jodi Hunter), and daughter Leslie Cunningham. All of McDonough, GA. Grandchildren; Madison Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Mason Johnson, Travis Johnson, Courteney Tankersley, Peyton Johnson, Kimberlee Wilkes Posey, Justin Cunningham, Jordan Cunningham, Jessie Cunningham, Austin Morris, Preston Cravens, Misty Cravens, and 18 Great-grandchildren Jerry retired with 30 years at Delta Airlines in 1994. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. And he really enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. The family will hold a private graveside service at Eastlawn Memorial Park at 640 McGarity Rd. McDonough, Ga.
