Jimmy Darrell Somoskey

Mr. Jimmy “Jim” Darrell Somoskey, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Jim was born October 27, 1942, in the town of War, West Virginia. Jim was a US Army Veteran. Jim worked for the State of Georgia at Kennesaw State Univerity for many years. Jim and Evelyn enjoyed life, fishing, playing golf, and traveling. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Somoskey; parents, Henry and Maxine Somoskey.; brothers, Mr. Pat Dellorso, Mr.Dennis Dellorso, Mr. Dillard Somoskey, Mr. Gary Dellorso, his sister Shelby Mahone: stepson, Vincent Cordova. Jim is survived by: Stepdaughter, Marcella Williamson (Charles); Grandchildren, Leo Bird, and Julianne Neverdahl (Jake), great grandchildren; brother, Mr. Robert Somoskey (Patsy) and sister, Mrs. Mary Smith (Ronald); several nieces and nephews. Jim’s wishes were to be cremated and buried next to his beloved wife, Evelyn. A private service is planned at this time. Reach out to the family for further details.
