John Michael Agan

John Michael Agan transitioned peacefully at Tranquility Hospice on March 28, 2026, at 61 years old. John was born in Bakersfield, California on May 2, 1964.

John was preceded in death by his father, Jack Agan, his sisters Marian Howard and Gail Dreher, and his nephew Brian Bednarski. John is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ellen Agan, and his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Jerry Bednarski. He is survived by many nephews and nieces, as well as aunts and cousins.

After living in Bakersfield during his early childhood, he lived in various places with his family in the U.S. and also in Nigeria and South Africa. John returned to Bakersfield in high school and lived there until November of 2023, when he moved with his mother to Marietta, GA to be closer to his sister, Stephanie and other family members. John lived a quiet life, preferring the comfort of home. He enjoyed watching television, drinking coffee, and keeping up with current events. A lover of music, his face would brighten whenever the Beach Boys or Rolling Stones would come up in conversation. Above all, John will be remembered for his kind, gentle spirit and the care he showed for his family.
