Marietta Southern Funerals & Cremations
If we may borrow an illustration from the death of Lazarus, Beth Saidd (nee Smith) was carried away by the angels on December 8, 2023. Born September 23, 1966, Kathryn Lizbeth was devoted to the Lord and his church her entire life of 57 years. Whatever program for good came up in which she could lend her talents--whether for the children she so cherished or for the elderly and infirm or those with illnesses needing a helping hand, or for the celebratory bright spots in life needing a beatific organization—she was always ready and able to assist. As church secretary for Macland Road Church of Christ for a number of years, she was often the first to be notified of some upcoming event and was proficient in getting things started properly. The church is indebted to her for these well-run events and for her admirable manner in dealing with the many demands of people under stress.
Known as Beth for most of her life, she had a natural vocal ability of great merit and enjoyed the many benefits that music brings to a life. A lover of people, conversations and games, she was a delightful addition to any activity.
Beth is survived by her husband Khalid Saidd, her mother Elaine Smith, a brother Chris Smith, several aunts, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Born in Smyrna, Ga., she resided in Dallas GA at the time of her death.
