She was born on December 5, 1932, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to Booker T. Woodard. Lillie graduated from Parrish High School in May 1951, embarking on a journey of life filled with purpose and resilience. In her youth, she found companionship and love with Hizzie Brown, whom she married on August 21, 1955, and she shared her life with him until his passing. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and love. Lillie was a dedicated household engineer, pouring her heart into creating a haven for her family. Her hands were always busy, whether she was knitting, sewing, crocheting, or nurturing her garden with her green thumb. Her talents and passions were woven into the fabric of her family's life, leaving behind cherished memories of warmth and comfort. She was a kind, loving, praying woman of God that loved everyone and everybody, and she will especially be remembered for always giving a helping hand to anyone in need. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Brown, along with eight beloved grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward. Additionally, she leaves behind a sister, a nephew, and a host of relatives and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace. Lillie Virginia Brown will be remembered not only for her skills and accomplishments but also for her gentle spirit and loving heart.
