Linda McDaniel Knowles

May 19, 1948 ~ October 15, 2022

Linda McDaniel Knowles went to be with her Lord peacefully at 4:16 pm on October 15, 2022, at the age of 74. She was predeceased by her parents, Battle Wardy and Dorothy Solton McDaniel. Linda is survived by and lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Richard; children Richelle (Shawn) Carter, Jennifer (Kevin) Quigley, Joshua (Mina) Knowles; her grandchildren Jada, Alyssa, Nevyn, Cami, Bryce, Owyn, Brady, and Keenan; and her brother Ed (Patty) McDaniel and nephew Mike. Linda was a 1966 graduate of her beloved Johnstown High School. She loved her Hometown very much! Linda enjoyed working at Powder Springs Elementary School where she worked as a Kindergarten Para Pro for 20 years. She was known for her service to Alanon, her kindness to all, her passion for dancing, and above all else, her love and dedication to her family and her dogs. We invite you to stop in for her Celebration of Life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 between the hours of 2pm to 5pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Linda’s memory.

  1. I love you very much mom. I know you’re dancing and laughing in heaven!
    Your best daughter

    • See you in Heaven, Big Sis, looking forward to reuniting with Butchy & Taffy. Glad I had you for a neighbor and a friend to grow up with. It made life and living that much more pleasurable. Take care of Sam until I can get back together with him and of course, all the cats & dogs we have had over the many years together.

  2. There was never a more kind soul than Linda. She never failed to make me smile, and always treated me like family.

  3. I love you so much Mom. I will miss you forever. Thank you for being the best mom ever.

  4. Linda was an angel that walked among us. Now she’s guiding us from above. She shared her beauty, wisdom, positivity, patience, and (most importantly) love with all of us. We’re all better for knowing her. Her light will shine forever. ☺️ All my love, Knowles family-🙏❤️🙏❤️

  5. Although I only met Mrs. Knowles a few times, I’ve enjoyed hearing beautiful stories over the years about her caring heart, humor, and love for her family. Praying for peace and comfort for her loved ones.
