Madge Martin of Smyrna, age 82 passed away on December 18,2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Martin and (Mike) of Euharlee, GA, her sons, Vic Martin and his wife (Stephanie) of Hiram Ga. and Joel Martin of Taylorsville; 4 Grandchildren, Madison, Drake, Avalee and Brie Martin, and her sister, Virginia Sauls of Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar & Myrtle Griffin and a sister Bettye Jo Bracey.
Madge was born on March 20th, 1939, in Tylertown MS, but had resided in Smyrna, Ga for over 45 years. She was an active member of Fortified Hills Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her family and friends dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 1 pm to 2pm. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill, 1861 Dallas Hwy SW, Marietta, GA with Bill Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

So sorry to hear of Madge’s passing. I worked with her in the credit department at JCPenny at Cumberland Mall in the mid 70’s. In fact I met my future husband through her. We’ve been married for 49 years.
Please accept my sincere condolences Cindy, Vic and Joel. I remember seeing you when you were just kids. I know your mother was so very proud of you.
