Michael Yo'el Hood, (A.K.A. "Yobe"), transitioned to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2024. Michael was born in Riverdale, Georgia to Eric and Melinda Hood on April 27, 1996. Michael attended Greater Works Christian Academy. He ventured out on his own to Marietta, Georgia in 2019. Michael worked faithfully at Pilgrim's Pride, Premium Distributors, and Advanced Medical. One of his proudest moments in life was becoming a certified EMT.
Michael leaves behind his parents Eric and Melinda Hood, Grandparents Willie F. and Patricia A. Hood of Trenton, New Jersey, Angela Edwards and Felton Creamer of Rome, Georgia, Brothers Kelvin (Parishya) Ritman of Dalton, Georgia and Nicholas Hood of Marietta, Georgia, Sister Leslie (Damon) Wells of Marietta, Georgia, four Nieces TyTianna, Makenzie, Londyn Ritman and Paisleigh Gibson, two Nephews Kayden and Khaza Ritman, two Uncles Jason (Catina) Hood of Hamilton, New Jersey and Craig Johnson of Rome, Georgia, three Aunts Chaka Bryan (Demond), Chutney Price, and Tamara Snow, and Godbrother Tyrin Ferguson. He also leaves behind a host of Great Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
Michael touched the hearts of so many and we will forever be thankful for his friends Star, Lisa, Alex, Ray, and Hunter. He was a little brother to all of his siblings and friends.

Words can’t begin to explain the pain this has brought to the family. I only had the pleasure of knowing Mike for only 3 years but those years were very special. Mike was someone in the family that shared some of the same goals as myself in life as far as being a first responder. He was very driven which I admired, even though it would find us in several debates. Nothing but love for one another while debating and I can truly say that is what I will miss the most. It was never a dull moment when being around Mike and he always kept you on your toes. Praying for the family as they encounter this difficult time!
Dear Hood Family,..Please know that our prayers are with all of you as you go through this difficult season in life. Hold onto Gods unchanging hand!
