Mickey Earl Adams

Mickey Earl Adams, 72, of Marietta, GA passed away on July 18, 2025 after a long struggle with dementia. Mickey was born on February 5, 1953 to Hansel and Evelyn Adams in Bessemer, AL.His family moved to Memphis TN where Mickey graduated from Central High School.He eventually moved to Atlanta, GA and attended DeKalb College. After high school Mickey became a follower of Jesus and joined Shiloh Youth Revival Centers, a Christian community involving shared living and working with an emphasis on Bible study and evangelism. He attended their Bible school in Eugene, OR and lived in several cities throughout the country forming many close friendships and plenty of amazing stories! Mickey had a heart for evangelism and took several trips to Eastern Europe bringing in Bibles and Christian literature undercover. His singing and guitar playing opened doors otherwise closed to Christian ministry. His love of music continued with his playing bluegrass music. He helped form the group Sojourner Band, in which he was a member for several years. They enjoyed playing together and ministering in a variety of venues. One of Mickey’s favorite pastimes was fishing with friends and family. They have many memories and stories of trips taken to ponds, local lakes and deep sea fishing. Mickey had an enthusiasm for all parts of life including his work. He owned and operated a small business for 30 years as well as being a real estate agent and investor. In 1986 Mickey married Beryl Lewis (Cheatwood) who had 2 daughters from a previous marriage: Anna Scott (Zach) of Atlanta and Rachel Allen (Chase) of Savannah. Mickey and Beryl had 2 children together: Daniel Adams of Smyrna and Grace Livingston (Alan) of Smyrna. They have 6 grandchildren whom Mickey adored: Isaac and Silas Scott, August and Quinn Allen and Wyatt and Evelyn Livingston. Mickey was predeceased by his parents, Hansel and Evelyn Adams; and his sister, Janice Caldwell. He is survived by his wife, Beryl; his brother, Bill Adams of Dallas, GA; his children and grandchildren. Mickey loved his family, prayed for them being thankful for them and their love for him. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday August 23rd at 11:00 AM.
