Hello. First of all I wanna give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his mercy and strength in our journeys in life. I First came to know Victor Emanuel Hodge when we were both living at the Royal Creek apartments. I would hear Victor on his balcony playing his guitar and all these sweet melodies penitrating the airwaves. So being a bass player who was always looking to connect with good musicians, I approached him and told him I was a bass player looking to collaborate with other musicians to write with. That relationship was created, not knowing that we would also become band mates for quite some time in “The Theodis Ealey Band”. I will forever remember those sweet melodies and his presence on stage which certainly made an indelible mark on my life fabric. Rest in peace my brother, for you have certainly left your musical presence for all that may hear the talent that God bestowed upon you 🙏 ❤️.
Víctor and I had a passion to workout and loved Haitian music
I am Victor’s first born child. I am so heartbroken to know of my father’s passing. I will spend the rest of my life missing him. My father loved his family, children and friends. He had no problem with sacrificing to ensure that our needs were met. He was so loving, sensitive and passionate about the things and people he loved. He was my comfort in this cold world. He was fun and full of energy. I admired his gift to play the guitar so eloquently. I will cherish the fond memories and our bond. Rest in Peace Dad. I love you ALWAYS ♥️

Vic taught me “NEVER use the word BROKE again”! He shouted at me on the van one night! “Nikki don’t you NEVER say you’re broke again! Broke is a state of mind. State your mind on how rich you are. Because you are!”
That was Vic! Always spitting knowledge and wisdom to any ear willing to receive it.
Love you Vic! The band road trips will never be the same without you. Now do you!
Love, Nikolicious
I will always have the memory of how much guitar playing Vic gave on stage, making our sound uniquely phat and tight. You will truly be missed my brother on and off the stage. RIH
One of the best guitarists that I’ve ever known. I am so honored that he decided to share the stage me and my band the last 21 years of his life.
Nicole, Juan, Kai and Ashley…I am so very sorry for your loss of a husband, father and friend…I love you all so much and I am here for you in whatever capacity I can serve…Victor was my brother in love and in spirit and, my God, I’ll miss his physical presence, his beautiful music and guitar playing and his jokes and kind words…after all the time we spent together as part of the Theodis Ealey Band, I don’t have any pictures of me and my brother but it’s okay…I still have my memories…much love!!
Greetings to the family, may God’s words and love bring you all the strength and encouragement you need at this time. .
Vic Hoge was a good friend and mentor of mine. I met Vic through a mutual friend Saxophonist John James Wilikes who was a home boy of Vics from the Island of Curacao. Vic and I always had a mutual love and respect for one another! We played alot of gigs together over a course of 20 plus years. Alot of fun, fellowship and brotherhood!
One fond memory was on a gig with John James and another good friend of ours Nashid Abdul was on Bass and Khalifa was on drums. During our intermission Vic & John started speaking Papiamentu Creol to one another & Abdul and Khalifa started speaking Arabic to one another. I said, hey can you guys speak a language I can understand and because I’m from Oklahoma City, Ok. Vic said, alright let’s speak in cowboy so Jabari doesn’t feel left out Lol!!
I’m sad like so many to say goodbye. But, like so many we are happy to know you are safe in the arms of Jesus. Love you Vic!!
To the family strong Prayers & Hugs! Be Encouraged and Press On!
Vic Hoge rest well my friend until we meet again!!
I am extending my heartfelt condolences to Nicole, keisha, Calvin, my daughter Ashley, Jawan, and Kai. His sister Camelia and brother Roy, and the extended family on the passing of Victor Hodge. R.I.P
I love you dad. Forever.
To my Soulmate,
You showed me and told me every day how much you loved me. We prayed together everyday and our rule never go to bed angry (we lived by it!) You took my boys and made sure every one knew they were yours. You raised them to be the men they are today. I miss you my love but I know God has you watching over me. Fly high my love until we meet again.
Always Mrs. Nicole Hodge
(As you always said Vic and Nic Forever)
