Mrs. Carlotta Ann Norton

June 16, 1944 ~ April 26, 2024

Carlotta Ann Norton, age 79, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born in Altus, OK on June 16, 1944, to the late Carl and Catherine Burnett. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, attending crafts shows, and spending time with family and friends. She was the matriarch of her family and the glue that held them all together. Mrs. Norton was married to the love of her life, Clifford Norton, for 62 years. There is a great void left without her spirit, love, and physical presence, but the family finds comfort in knowing that she and Clifford have been reunited. She is survived by their two children Clifford (Tracy) Norton, III of Jackson, GA and Cindy (David) Rector of Jackson, GA, six grandchildren Tiffani Norton, Brittani (Michael) Rhodes, Chyna (Aaron) Thomason, Stormy (Brannon) Halloway, Rachel (Jake) Scott, and Ryan Rector. She also has nine surviving great-grandchildren, Rhyan, Avery, Maddux, Sawyer, Cash, Boone, Denver, and Teddy Ann. Special friends Nelda Robins and Patsy Newell. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2024, starting at noon for a celebration of her life at Southern Cremations & Funerals in McDonough. Funeral and burial services to be held same day and immediately following, starting at 2pm at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough. The Staff of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Eastlawn Memorial Park are honored to serve the family of Mrs. Carlotta Ann Norton.   2. Ann was the most caring friend. She is very missed. I am so happy to know she is with Jesus and Clifford she loved her kids and grands and greats and friends

  3. Ms.Ann as my family calls her. We have known the Norton family for many years. I remember Ms. Ann’s cooking and ya’ll know she is a great cook. I remember hanging in the garage many times. I remember my boys talking about during hunting season she would get them from the hunting camp take them home, feed them, and make them take a shower. I always thanked her for that. We also worked at the same place over thirty years. Ms. Ann was always smiling and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. The Norton’s are a beautiful family inside and out. She sure will be missed by all. I am so sorry for your loss.

  4. I was very blessed to have her as my MawMaw. She cooked the best biscuits (let us eat the dough), let us come to her house every weekend, and let every grandchild know that we were loved unconditionally. I was very fortunate to have her in my life! She was the glue that held our family together and we will never forget her. I will miss you so much, but I know you and pawpaw will watch over us! I love you so much!!

Ann was a great women inside and out always made you feel at home bobby shortt was old friends of cliff and Ann 40 years or so she use to cook breakfast fir the men going hunting at 3 in morning biscuits full meal they let us spend the night on there fireplace I loved it ms Ann a treasure to everyone I will miss you so but I know you are with Jesus I love you brenda and bobby shortt

  6. To know Ann was to love Ann!! A dedicated wife, mother and friend. No one ever left Ann’s house hungry no matter how many there were. All were welcome and we are truly honored and blessed to have been a small part of her life and her family! We truly made friends for life with this family! Ann is in Heaven now and once again with Cliff…she is at peace! Love you all so much! Steve and Kim Ledbetter
