  1. Southern Cremations & Funerals at East Lawn Memorial Park says:

  2. It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a truly remarkable educator, Ms. Sheila Midgette’s unwavering dedication to teaching touched the lives of countless students.
Shelia was more than an educator; she was a source of inspiration, a guiding light, and a friend to many. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

  3. The Popwell family send their condolences to the Midgette family. Sheila has been an integral part in our lives. She was my son and daughter’s chemistry teacher, and we have been colleagues since 2002 when she first started at Stockbridge High. We bonded because of our Caribbean roots, and precious memories will always be remembered : from the cookouts at her house to the parties at my house with precious Abby. Sheila loved life, family, and her work family, and I’m honored to be a part of her girl’s group. Her smile would brighten up a room and she always knew what to say to bring comfort. She was an awesome teacher, friend, mother, wife, sister, and family member. This is not a final goodbye, so I say, until we meet again my friend. Dr. Popwell

  4. Mrs. Midgette was an amazing teacher, and it was an absolute pleasure to be one of the many students she impacted. Mrs. Midgette taught me both Honors and AP chemistry, and I absolutely loved being in her classes. She was very attentive, caring, and wanted her students to thrive in all aspects. I’ll never forget some fond memories I have of her whilst in AP chemistry. In that class, it was probably only about 5 of us, so we got the opportunity to experience a more initimate classroom setting. While we were studying for the AP chemistry exam, she offered several weekend tutoring sessions, which is something many teachers did not do! She constantly went above and beyond for her students, and I will always be appreciative of that. You will be greatly missed Mrs. Midgette.

To her family, please remain strong during this tough time and know she is hopefully resting peacefully now! She will be forever missed and loved.
