Nancy Helen Goswick

October 3, 1939 ~ November 2, 2023

Nancy Helen Goswick was reunited with her husband, Luther Elbert Goswick on November 2, 2023. She was 84 years old. Her love had passed away on March 29, 2016. They were married for 61 years. She also couldn’t wait to hug her daughter Tammy Lynn Goswick, who passed on March 18, 2020. Nancy was also looking forward to seeing her sisters, Beverly Davis and Linda Worthington, who died recently as well. Nancy was raised in Atlanta, GA by her parents Noah and Beulah Dempsey and lived in the metro Atlanta area her entire life. She and Luther raised their three children, Debbie, Gary and Tammy in the Austell area. Nancy was a kind and very giving person. She would help a stranger if she saw that they had a need. She enjoyed visiting the elderly in nursing homes and spending time with the patients. Nancy loved visiting the mountains in Ellijay and shopping for apples in the fall. More than anything, Nancy loved her grandchildren, Josh, Seth and Chelsea and great grandchildren Zachary, Beau, Kolston, Riddick and Alexander as well as her extended family. All of the grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in her life. She also had many lifelong friends that she adored. She was a loyal friend. Nancy leaves behind her sister, Peggy Musick, to carry on her memory. Nancy was very sick the last 48 days of her life and knew that her time was soon coming but she was looking forward to going home to be with Jesus. She will be sorely missed. We love you mom (mawmaw)!

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Nancy was such a great Christian lady and a good roll model. I enjoyed going up to the mountains of North Georgia, going out to lunch and talking for hours. She has prayed for me and I appreciated it. I’m missing her so much. My heart goes out to her family. I know she is happy to see Jesus and Luther and Tammy. It is my pleasure to have known her.

  2. I was blessed to meet Nancy at my sister’s house at a party recently. My sister had told me so much about how sweet she was, I felt like I already knew her. She was so kind to us all. When it was time to leave, she reached up and touched me, she then told me she loved me. She touched my heart in so many ways. 💜

  3. Todd & Lisa Fox and Family says:

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss… Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

  4. Lead us ahead Nancy. I’ll see you again when I see pop.

  5. We met Nancy a number of times at family gatherings. She was always friendly, gracious and welcoming. We pray her loved ones find peace by keeping the good memories in their hearts.
