Patricia Ann Anderson, 84, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at Living Stone Church in Marietta with Rev. Grant Cole officiating on Saturday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 am. The interment will be at Friendship Baptist Church in Murphy, North Carolina, where her parents, and grandparents are buried. Patricia was born to Howard and Lorah McNabb Johnson on February 21, 1939, in Blue Ridge, Ga. She graduated high school from West Fannin High in Blue Ridge, GA. At age 18, Pat moved to Atlanta with her friend Joann. Patricia worked at Sears on Ponce de Leon Ave in Atlanta, Georgia. Patricia married Lloyd G. Anderson on April 19, 1959, at Hopewell Baptist Church in McCaysville, GA. Lloyd was in the Air Force. Lloyd served from 1957-1961 while being stationed at England Air Force Base in Alexandria, LA. Patricia worked at the City of Alexandria and attended college at night at LSU at Pineville, Louisiana. Patricia enjoyed studying English and Psychology. Lloyd and Patricia have two children, Steve and Karen. Patricia worked part time at Bethany Methodist Church for seven years as the Church Secretary. Patricia was the secretary at Cobb County Christian School while her children attended school. Patricia said this was the most spiritually fulfilling job. Patricia retired from Atlanta Gas Light after 20 years of service. Patricia was a member of Open Bible Tabernacle Church in Marietta, Ga. She enjoyed sewing, putting puzzles together and cooking. Her specialty was chicken and dumplings, tomato soup and deviled eggs. She enjoyed living in her brick house in the pines. She enjoyed working in her yard. She loved to decorate for Christmas. Survivors include one daughter, Karen M. Anderson Postell; one brother, Randall H. Johnson; one niece Michelle Johnson Pope, one nephew Richard H. Johnson, five grandchildren Beth Anderson, Faith Anderson Sithebe, Joshua Postell, Johnathan Anderson, Jessica Postell LaMontagne, and six great grandchildren, Kaylee Sithebe, Kyron Burns, Kaiden Burns, Briella Postell, Jack LaMontagne, Brooks LaMontagne. She is predeceased by her parents Howard Johnson and Lorah McNabb Johnson, one son Steve H. Anderson.
