Peggy Batchelor Chalker

Peggy Batchelor Chalker passed peacefully on March 27, 2024. She was born on April, 26, 1937 to James and Margaret Batchelor and resided in Rocky Mount, NC until attending college at East Carolina University where she met her husband, Kenneth L. Chalker, Sr. Upon graduation the couple moved to Atlanta and ultimately settled in Cobb County. During her younger years Peggy was an elementary school teacher in the Atlanta and Cobb County School system. Her husband became a real estate attorney and Peggy retired from teaching to concentrate on raising her two children. She was active in many charitable organizations and was an avid tennis player, golfer, and member of Marietta Country Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her brothers William Hill Batchelor of Rocky Mount, NC and Charles William Batchelor of Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as her son Charles William Chalker of Hiawassee, GA. She is survived by her son Kenneth L. Chalker, Jr. of Kennesaw, GA, her daughters in law, Tammy Luther Chalker of Kennesaw and Kimberly Chalker of Hiawasse, GA and her five grandchildren. Chase Chalker, Autumn Chalker White, Kennedy Chalker, Madison Turner, and Kaitlyn Chalker. A memorial service will be held at Cheatham hill Memorial Park on April 20th with a visitation from 2-3pm followed by the service at 3pm.
