Raleigh "Chubb" Clarence Reese was born on August 14, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia, to his late mother, Carmelita "Mickey" McClendon, and Father Raleigh Reese. He attended Margaret Mitchell Elementary, Sutton Middle School, and North Atlanta High School in the Atlanta public school system.
Raleigh, also known as "Chubb," was beloved for his warmhearted and easygoing nature. He had a quiet presence but always made his love for his mother known. He loved him some turkey wings and flavorful liver, which were among his favorite dishes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmelita "Mickey" McClendon; grandmother, Rubye D. Jones; great-grandmother, Minnie " Mother" Jones; grandfathers Ulysses "Pop" Jones and Clearance "Slick" McClendon; and Uncle Otis Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters: Carmecia "Pret" McClendon, Nekoma "Punkin" McClendon, Ashley McClendon, and Mrs. Tiarra "Ms.tee" & Ja'Mario "Mario" Jones. Also, three brothers: Ulysses "Bo" McClendon, Thomas McClendon, and Gregory "lil Greg" Swinson; five nieces: Brekia "Bre" McClendon, Brianna "Piggy" Mitchell, Brandy McClendon, Bre'Niyah "Niyah" McClendon, and A'Dor "Princess" Rubye Jones; six nephews: Jia'Tavious "Jia" McClendon, Marquavious "Quay" McClendon, Bernard "BJ" Mitchell, Micheal "Baby Jr." Killings Jr., Ja'Mario "JJ" Jones, and Carmelo "Melo" Killings; two great nieces: Sariyah McClendon and Ava McClendon; three great nephews: Braxton McClendon, Dontavious "DJ" Matthews, and Kyrie; two uncles: Clarence McClendon and Dawson Brown; and two aunts: Theresa "Terry" McClendon and Stacy Brown, along with a host of cousins.
