Randy Lohoff

July 25, 1952 ~ May 21, 2023

Randy Keith Lohoff took his final breath at age 70, hand in hand with his family on Sunday May 21st 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. He joins the stars in the sky including his mother, Jerie John Lohoff, father, Lewis Clark Lohoff, brother-in-law, Bruce Gutting, mother-in-law, Patsy Gutting and father-in-law, Paul Gutting; where there is bound to be many a cribbage game and endless banter about college sports and the best way to catch and fry a fish. Randy was born in 1952 and raised in Tell City, Indiana along with his brother, Gary Lohoff and sisters, Nancy Scott and Cindy Hardesty. He attended DePauw University where he was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity and received his BA in Economics. During this time, he met his wife, Jean during a semester abroad in Greece. He then attended University of Louisville Law School and received his Juris Doctorate. Randy worked for Ashland Oil for 20 years in Ashland, KY where he and his wife Jean raised 2 sons, Bryan and Drew. The family then moved to Findlay, OH, where he walked to work at Marathon Petroleum every day until his retirement. Randy was president of Black Swamp Boy Scout Council. He was active with United Way and Findlay Flood Mitigation Committee and a member of the Findlay Skeet Club and the Rockwell Springs Trout Club. The family enjoyed skiing and traveling domestically and abroad. Post retirement, Randy and Jean moved to Panama City, FL. Randy enjoyed fishing, cooking buckwheat pancakes for his grandchildren, riding his bike, captaining his boat and hosting a fish fry. Randy was a mentor with Take Stock in Children, a mentorship program aimed to send Bay County students to college. Additionally, he volunteered at Second Chance of NW Florida. His family will celebrate his life with a private dedication at their home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Second Chance of NW Florida in Randy’s name.
