Rodney Scott Forrester of Powder Springs, GA died Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was 71 years old.
Also known as; Rod, Rocket, Boo Boo, Paw Paw Boo Boo.
He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA to Henry and Betty Forrester. After he graduated high school, he went on to become a licensed electrician. Following this, he worked for over 30 years in the electrical and electrical sales industry, many of those years with Rexel. Through the electrical industry he made many lifelong friendships that he cherished. He was a proud member, and formerly served as president of, the BYO. When not working, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends and family over a good meal. He was a member of Hurt Road Baptist Church.
Rodney fought his battle against dementia for almost 5 years. Despite spending the last year and half of that time in an assisted living, he never lost his sense of humor, his fight or his immense joy in seeing his children and grandchildren. His sense of humor will be missed greatly.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Henry Scott Forrester; his mother, Betty Massey Forrester; his sister, Pamela Forrester Gossett.
His survivors include his children, Ryan Scott (Libby) Forrester of Powder Springs, GA, Stephanie Forrester (Cody) Idland of Powder Springs, GA. Grandchildren Maia and Weston Robertson, Ryker and Deacon Forrester, Annabelle and Charlotte Idland.

I met Rodney in the late 70’s early 80’s in the electrical industry, at that time he had been around Atlanta and working at Electrical Dist’s in Chamblee, he was always fun to be around and everyone loved him! Always enjoyed working with him and will miss him terribly. His son Ryan will carry the legacy on! My prayers and love to you all! Terry Chastain
