It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ronald David Stevens Jr. on March 26, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on October 27, 1970, in Columbia, South Carolina, David grew up in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. He graduated from Socastee High School in 1988 and went on to attend Charleston Southern University and Coastal Carolina University, majoring in business and finance.
In 1991, David proudly began his service in the Navy, dedicating himself to his country with honor and distinction. After his military service, Ronald worked as an IT specialist for over 20 years at Hewlett Packard, where he was highly respected for his expertise and dedication.
David had a deep love for the ocean and enjoyed fishing and boating, which brought him great joy and peace. He also adored his dogs, who were his loyal companions and brought him much happiness. David was a Christian and was baptized into the Baptist faith at the age of 7, which guided him throughout his life.
David is survived by his two sons, Brennen William Stevens and Hunter David Stevens, his mother, Janice Herring Stevens, his father, Ronald David Stevens Sr., his brother, Brandan Wilson Stevens, all of Myrtle Beach, SC, and his beloved nieces, Madeline Michelle Stevens and Maryn Marie Stevens. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson W. Herring and Aileen Clarke Herring, and Minnie Aileen Stevens and Oscar L. Stevens. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Inurnment will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, with Military Honors.
