Ronald Everett Smith aged 69, passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2021. He was born to James Arnold and Marion Terry Smith on September 2, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio. Ronald became an Eagle Scout in 1968. He Graduated from Kaiserslutern High in Germany and then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He married the love of his life Janice Hightower Smith on October 22, 1982. Ronald worked for Southern Bell, Bellsouth, and AT&T, where he retired after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Marion Smith, brother Terry Smith, and brother Myron Smith.
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory loving wife Janice Smith; children Jeremy Terrance (Harrisa) Smith and Jessica Elise Smith; grandchildren Aubrey Smith and Toni Smith; brother James (Carrie) Smith; sister Rhonette Rios; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.







Im deeply sorry for your loss. Mr Smith was a vital part in my growing up and he always had a life lesson to teach lol. My prayers are with you all.
Ron you were the best fishing buddy ever. Thank you for your friendship and fishing excursions on West Point Lake. You taught me to love and cherish the freedom of camping and fishing. You were a true friend!
